  1. Lille Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art

Or LaM, is located in a sculpture park in Villeneuve d’Ascq. According to France Voyage, it is the only museum in Europe to offer works of modern art, contemporary art and art brut.

Price: around 10€, free every first Sunday of the month


The LaM is in the Parc du Héron, in which you can walk, wander, eat or drink something, and rest if you want before or after your visit.

  1. Villa Cavrois

La Villa Cavrois has been imagined by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, and is nowadays considered as a chef d’oeuvre, a contemporary castle.

Price: around 8€; From November to March, free every first Sunday of the month

Free for young people from 18 to 25 years old (Identity Card for EU Nationals/Passport with your Visa)

La Piscine is a museum located in Roubaix, implanted in an Art Deco swimming-pool built in the 20th century.

Price : free every first Sunday of the month and every Friday for Students

La Condition Publique is a place where several areas are dedicated to different activities; shows, concerts, restaurant, exhibitions…


  1. Kinépolis/Bowling/Starship Laser

These 3 different activities are located in the same area. Kinépolis is the biggest cinema to be found in Europe. Next to this latter, there are a bowling alleys and a Starship Laser (or Lasergame).

  1. Ice skating

The closest skating rink you can find is in Wasquehal (Serge Charles). To go there, you just need to take the underground (Line 2, stop Wasquehal Hôtel de Ville, and walk for 10mn).

V2 is a shopping centre just like Euralille in Lille. There are a lot of shops, such as Zara, The Body Shop, Levi’s, Kiko, Mac…

You can go there by taking the underground, Line 1, stop Villeneuve d’Ascq Hôtel de Ville.
